MUSIC INDUSTRY INTERNSHIP PROGRAM & POST GRADUATE APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM

RECORDING ARTS ADMINISTRATION & THE BUSINESS OF MUSIC PRIVATE MUSIC INDUSTRY BUSINESS SCHOOL WITH APPLIED JOB TRAINING & EXPERIENCE

White Eagle Music Promotions takes on 2 -3 interns every three to four months, in our Canadian office located in the west end of Toronto , Ontario, Canada.

The internship program provides a very practical hands on educational learning experience in marketing and promotion in the music industry, working specifically in Radio Promotion, Distribution, Booking, and Licensing. If you are enrolled in a University/ College or Arts Administration Music school program, credit can be recieved to complete the requirements of the intership placement programs.

SKILLS REQUIRED

• Excellent computer skills and the ability to easy adapt to and learn new computer programs quickly
• Professional telephone manner and Communication Skills
• Sales experience preferred but not required
• Must have a lot of enthusiasm, passion and desire to succeed for working in the music industry, in addition to a love of the music business!
• College or University Education preferred in Arts Administation, Music or Marketing , Advertising
• Experience and working knowledge in several computer programs, preferably office, design or music related .

SCHELDULE

• 15 - 20 hours per week
• 3 to 4 days per week

COMPENSATION

Internships are generally not salary paid positions, however for the right candidate there is much opportunity for gross revenue and commission if they are successful in either business development, booking and/ or sales.  In addition, interns do however recieve many bonuses, in addition to a very valuable and practical music business education.  Internships also help you to obtain experience needed to land a paying position in the music industry.  Internships at White Eagle Music Promotions can also quicky lead to a paying position within the company and/or a strong referral to another Record Company.

ENROLLMENT PROCESS:

• Applicant will receive notification confirming receipt of application
• Supervisor/President Reviews application
• Review of applicant cover letter and resume for eligibility
• Applicant attends interview with the Supervisor/President
• Initial letter confirming acceptance of successful applicant
• Optional Additional Music Career Counseling
• Upon acceptance, statement of motivation from applicant

INTERN/POST GRADUATE APPRENTICESHIP FEES

• Application Fee: $100
• Interview, Placement and Consulting Fee: $100
• Tuition Payment of $500 if enrolled in college/university program
• Post Graduate Apprentice Program, $6000 per 3 month placement
